I got a feeling we are going to have a good week coming up!
The national polls are evening out and McCain's bounce is fading fast.

Sarah's "In what respect Charlie" moment is gaining momentum as is her overall lack of experience

The new fund raising memo will take over the news

Obama's camp is starting to fight back

The media is calling McCain's slimy and are getting pissed about the lack of interviews

I think the worst is over and we get the upper hand as we move into the debates.

27. I would love to take credit for it, but unforntately not my creation
It was the line uttered by Darth Vadar in the Empire Strikes Back when he ordered his troops to load up the captives and Landa whined "Hey, we had a deal!".

It is the ultimate FU, I am in charge here, so deal with it one liner.

Another favorite is "Dying ain't much of a living boy" as uttered to a bounty hunter by Clint Eastwood in The OUtlaw Josie Wales. I love the tough guy movies.

29. I hate to be a kill joy ...
But, we have had exactly ONE week, of the main stream media KIND of doing its job, and it was last week, when, coincidentally, BO had for the first time pretty much dipped behind McCain in polling.

Until they spend the next eight weeks doing the same, I will believe they only got a little carried away about being actual jounalists given the cover of having BO behind.

I think it is going to be HARD for them the carry water for Palin, cause she is a never ending trainwreck. BUT, I DO think that the are due to light BO up over some kind of nonsense, and if McCain ratches in the bizarre ads, they will get back to covering for him.

Also, I repeat, BO is going to "win" the debates on substance, but the MSM IS going to call them wins for McCain.

4. Agree strongly. And it's already begun, as you point out.
Secessionist Barbie will have to start cramming for her debate with Biden.

Think of it as a challenge, Governor!

5. LOL!!!
That's the best nickname I've heard so far for Palin. I hope it sticks and we start hearing it on Letterman and Stewart soon...

Had a good talk in the rain here in Detroit with some Blue Dogs on Saturday and they are voting proudly for Obama-Biden.

A Soggy Sunday here as Ike moves in.

8. The Repug 527 are locking and loading as we type.
The worst may be yet to come.

I'm optimistic we can survive, and come through it victorious, but it's going to be one hell of a ride.

12. The liberal 527s are loaded for bear this time too...
it'll be a slug fest for sure, we need lots of new voters to turn out. Hopefully they'll be angry and motivated enought to do it.

9. "It's the economy, stupid"
By all accounts Monday is going to be a bloodbath on Wall Street - time to trot out the ads where Bushco and McW both say "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" and Phil Gramm's "whiner" comments and remind voters that under Bushco the directors of Fannie and Freddie are getting huge golden parachutes and the taxpayers are paying for everything.

11. Remember that during the primaries...
Obama typically closed well. He makes a "summation" to the voters like the trained lawyer that he is.

I also think that McCain's sleaze has made the late October slime bucket they will surely unleash just that much more ineffective.

Voters can be distracted, but most can't be fooled for long.

Palin is going to continue to be the gift that keeps on giving. For McCain, her presence on the ticket is going to like holding a pit bull by the ears -- you don't like it, but you don't dare let go.

People are going to start paying attention to the issues.

And we win on the issues.

:eyes:

Then when you see her in an actual interview and the best she can come up with is "In what respect, Charlie?" <deer in headlights>

That little crack in the dam is getting ready to become a gusher!

17. My elderly mom is looking for an excuse NOT vote for Obama
83 years old, "pro-life" obsessive, and scared do death of "black people"

She called me after the first debate.

"Did they give her the answers ahead of time? Because she didn't even pause to think, and Joe Biden would have paused for at least a second or two to think. I bet they had to give her the questions ahead of time."

Alright! Finally the light is shining through!

"But I still say she looks a lot like you."

"Ma, not all of us with dark hair and glasses look alike."

But hell, I think she's leaning our way. One and a half months to go!

26. Just in time for Wall Street to go "Boom"!!
Now is the time for him to explain in simple terms exactly what is happening to our money. The fundamentals of the economy are not strong, as Bush and McCain would have us believe. Obama needs to get back to the economy and not even respond to any media questions about Palin.

When he took the lead in the primaries it is because people starting seeing "ha it is possible". We need to put that confidence out there again. He will win. It is happening. No stopping it mow, full steam ahead.
