Everytime I heard her say Charlie it just sounded so weird. Was it just me?

1. Intentional.
They are running against the media. Media evil. Media liberal. Media bad.

Which I guess means the fourth estate has about the same approval rating as congress, seeing as how we hate them too :-)

4. The repetition of the interviewers name
was meant to demean him and the interview. To establish control over the discourse and, hence, give Sarah the appearance of intellectual parity or superiority to Charles Gibson. And old debate trick, clumsily (way too obvious) applied.

7. When a word sticks out like that...
...it's obvious that she's stuck on it for a reason.

We all know that she was coached like a college-student going into a final exam. I'm
betting that one thing she was told to do is say Charlie's name a lot. It's pretty
much a basic tenant of interpersonal communication, that people love to hear their name. It softens
up the person, and it makes you like better the person who is saying your name. It
creates a stronger relationship between the two people.

I'm betting that they were hoping that this would soften up Charlie and make him go
easier on her her.

Her own intonation (and yes it was odd the way she said it) demonstrates that she
was preoccupied with saying his name repeatedly--as she was told to do.

12. Yes!
I love the name Charlie. My son, husband, Father-In-Law and uncle are all named Charlie. Between the grating tone of her voice and the fact that she was obviously coached to say it every other sentence set me on edge. She over-emphasized the R, and while I know it's probably the northern accent it made me crazy!

13. Annoying is the part of her personality that comes shining through.
Along with nasty, mean spirited, impatient, narrow minded and hard hearted.
