Positive attracts positive. Every time. |

A poster downthread ("We're doing this all wrong--") makes a fantastic point.
Instead of telling everyone you know about the NEGATIVE things about McCain, we should be talking about the POSITIVE things about Obama. We need to give them a reason to vote FOR Obama, instead of AGAINST McCain.
Worth a shot, right?

1. It's the same way the Daily Show works so well. |

When something negative happens, it seems the mind shuts a door. When something positive happens, the mind opens up. And it's at that open moment that things can enter.
Unfortunately we tend to operate the other way around. It seems to be instinctual.
I like this. And it's the way Obama works. And you can tell it's effective just by looking at his wife and little girls. That family has a positive vibe.

2. Right. Obama isn't about negative, and we shouldn't be either. |

Let's show people why they should be voting for him. It'll work, because he has a great plan for this country.
Are we letting people really know what it is...?

3. It's a widely accepted part of educational pedagogy, that positive... |

that positive attitudes open up the mind, that fear closes the mind and drives us to use our brain stems more than our cerebrum and higher thinking skills.
I think it's perfectly appropriate to apply this to political messaging, but them hasn't Obama been doing this all along?
