Obama takes 5 point lead in Ohio 49-44
Poll dated 5-12

It was more than a little surprising, although quite pleasant, to see that Barack Obama was ahead in the presidential polls in Ohio, especially after seeing that John McCain was slightly in front of Obama today in the national polls. Part of the reason Obama may be in the lead in Ohio could be because 52% of people polled in the presidential polls in Ohio say that the economy is the most important issue in this election. The economy in Ohio has been hit hard by the loss of many of the manufacturing jobs that were prevalent within the state. Obama's clearly stated plan on improving the economy may be a large factor in why he is currently ahead in the presidential polls in Ohio.

5. If we can weather the convention onslaught and remain ahead in the EC we'll be looking good
I have to admit I'm nervous as hell, but I *do* expect that Americans will wise up, and the hoopla over Pain will die down, and people will realize that McSame is only staying afloat by lying day after day, and that he's long since sold out any integrity he once had, and we'll recapture the momentum.

But strategically, even if that's not the case, and we can just hold on through this bubble and remain ahead in the electoral college for a couple more days, I think we'll be doing very well, heading into the first debate.

Keep up the good work!

David

8. Are you sure this is different from the Qunnipac Poll that was 49-44 several days ago?
The article says its the Qunnipac Poll. So is this a *NEW* Quinnipac Poll and its the same lead? I mean great if so, I just don't want to get happy prematurely.

Commenatary: Obama is leading in 2 out of three of the swing states reported, yet the headline reads, "Palin Boosts McCain In Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll Finds." WTF? Kiss McCain'ass much?
