Most idiotic reason to vote for Palin/McCain. |
|
Seems to me there are a lot of Republicans desperately searching for ways to rationalize voting for their candidates. Today I think I heard the most bizarre one yet.
So, I'm talking to a lifelong repub and after some comments about how his age isn't a problem (something I hadn't even brought up), this bizarro statement comes out the blue, "well, this will be the last time we get to vote for a presidential candidate that has fought in a war".
Ummm...WTF. Seriously...:wtf:
So, what weird excuses have you heard lately.

7. I've heard a couple people use other excuses to mask the fact that they won't vote for a Black man |
|
But I've never heard anyone come out and say it.

14. That's probably the actual reason the person the OP talked to won't vote for him... |
|
I think some of the most ridiculous excuses are just coverage for that. Anyone who let Palin sway them, for example, was never going to vote for Obama in my book. They just needed an excuse to say openly that they weren't going to vote for Obama.

That would be America's last war. Everything since has been a "conflict".

9. Some of my co-worker Hillary supporters have told me |
|
Here are some quotes I've heard said to me at work:
I like Palin a lot. I think it's time for a woman to be a national leader. Sarah Palin has the best hair. I love her hair. I think Palin's kids are so nice looking. She has a such a nice looking family. I think Sarah Palin's husband is hot. Hillary and Sarah Palin will end up running together! I don't like Obama because he called Sarah Palin a pig!
UGH! I think they're realizing how ridiculous they sound after hearing them tonight, though. Except for now one was talking about Cindy McCain... Tonight I got to hear how dynamic Cindy McCain is after all she's been through...especially since she knows a good beer when the foam sticks to the side of the glass!! ....she's a racer....and on and on....
Yes, these were real comments coming from ex-Hillary supporters that I work with. And they're RNs.
