OMG! ~ McCain speaking about his 'potential' running mate....
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 01:30 AM by Breeze54

"I've never been involved in Wall Street, I've never been involved

in the financial stuff, the financial workings of the country, so I'd

like to have somebody intimately familiar with it,"

he said of a potential vice president. -- John McCain --

5. The Sarah Palin quote is a parody...
...from the Saturday Night Live skit which opened the show on Saturday night.

It's based on her intervew with Charlie Gibson, but not her exact words.

6. In my political communication class, we've decided she was a last minute pick
after his first (and possibly backup) choices turned him down.

My guess is this: After the party leaders nixed Holy Joe, he was going to pick Romney. Romney wants to run next time and would prefer not to be linked to this loser ticket and says no. The quote above would support a Romney pick. McCain possibly goes to his plan C, or tells his people to find him another fundamentalpatient before he gets saddled with Huckabee. Enter Crazy Cousin Sarah from Wasilla.

I was thinking of incorporating the quote in the OP and then maybe show McLiar with an abacus? :P

LOL!

Or somehow show a picture illustrating both of their lack of experience with Wall St. and economics.

Maybe something showing the wall St Bull and them both running away or looking frightened!

Charging Bull (sometimes called the Wall Street Bull or the Bowling Green Bull)
is a 3,200 kg (7,000 pound) bronze sculpture by Arturo Di Modica that sits in
Bowling Green park near Wall Street in New York City.

Maybe show the actual street sign for Wall St and Failure Ave?! :P

Or maybe show a graph behind them, with the quote, showing the Dow Jones plummeting!

I need coffee though, bad.... let me think / wake up!

Thanks!! :hi:

13. But wait, it gets even better!
When it comes to his vice president, McCain said he could envision giving the vice president responsibility to oversee certain policy matters much the way former President Clinton gave telecommunications issues to former Vice President Al Gore.

That subject area might be the economy, an area McCain said he has never been completely comfortable with.

29. Umm, not to rain on your parade, BUT . . .
. . . there is actually a Charles Schwab across the street from the Alaska Governor's Mansion and Palin can actually see it out her office window.

So, you should really do some research before you imply that she isn't intimately familiar with the financial workings of the country!
