Is McCain saying that he can lie....
about Obama because Obama would not agree to have town hall meetings with him? That's what he seems to be saying when the media ask him about his negative attacks.

1. That's pretty much the way I've heard it.
You would think McPOW would be satisfied with the last setup but I guess Rove wants more.

3. He's excusing his lies with that, yes
He blames it on the tone of the campaign and says it would have been better if Obama had done the town hall meetings with him. Of course, he doesn't admit to lying, but that's what he's doing. Basically it reads like this, McCain gets called on his outright lies, but he doesn't admit it, instead he changes the subject and makes it about the tone of the campaign. And then he laments the tone of the campaign and says it's Obama's fault if he only had wanted to work in a bipartisan way and talk about issues and have town hall meetings. So John McCain didn't want to be a lying asshole, but Barack Obama forced him to do it.

6. My Friends, I Wanted To Tell The Truth But He Wouldn't Play By My Rules
so I had no choice but to resort to lying and cheating. I am no stranger to lying and cheating because when I was a POW, I had to use the same technique and you know, my friends, that worked out quite well for me. In fact, my friends, I actually found out that the technique worked quite well while in college but that is a story for another Townhall meeting. POW, USA, Palin, Change, Pig With Lipstick!

7. John McCain was a POW?
I'd never heard that one before, but after googling it, you're right. The guy is so modest that I've never heard him or his campaign bring it up.

8. I'd love it if McCain keeps up with the lies. Then we can call him a bold faced LIAR for
the rest of the campaign. I hope McCain keeps it up. It is working for us.
