So, you think John McCain is a liar ??
To be honest, they don't care what you think. They have said as much. They are running to "win". So, how best to counter that strategy?

It is not good enough to simply call your opponent a liar when they tell their supporters that it is you that are lying. What must be done is to change the debate. John McCain and Barack Obama must be challenged to talk about issues that are important to the American people. We all know what those are. Just look at the news this morning.

Then, if either refuses, then that is what they must be called out on - not the lying - but the refusal to talk about the issues. Each should be given three strikes to get in line. Otherwise, the news story will be about how they refused to discuss what was important and they made the decision to stay negative. That is the story that voters will need to hear. That is a different debate than simply saying, "he is lying".

Because, no matter how much the mainstream media calls McCain a liar, he seems to go up in the polls? His supporters do not think he is a liar or they do not care? Or they think Obama is even a bigger liar? "He said - she said" is not a very good political strategy, in my opinion.

8. The repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act?
I believe it was called? It was put in place in the 1930's because of this very thing and the Republicans, led by Phil Gramm - John McCain's economic advisor - repealed it. They thought we did not need it.

5. A good strategy?
Challenge McCain to talk about the economy. Talk about the unemployment rate that keeps going up. Talk about good jobs going overseas. Talk about these banks going under because of the lack of regulation, most of it caused by legislation put forth by Phil Gramm, his economics adviser. Talk about John McCain wanting to put Social Security in the stock market. Maybe that would be a better strategy?
