What is your election day strategy?
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 11:40 AM by LibraLiz1973
I will be at a polling station in the Philadelphia burbs all day.

How many others here will be poll watching? I think it may be more important this year
than any other year, ever.

The McLame camp is already sending out false ballots (how are they not being arrested for this???),
people who have their homes in foreclosure are on a "no vote" list, and now McCain staffers are calling
Jewish people asking if they would still want to vote Obama if they knew he supported the PLO.

These fuckers mean business, and so should we.
They mean to try to steal this any way that they can- we need to make it impossible.

What's our plan?

We (Democrats) need to have a strategy in place, and we need to have it now.

1. I will be canvassing director
for one of our four staging locations in our county. We had a great GOTV strategy for the primary and plan on replicating that for election day.

November 4th is such an important day - we all need to help PUSH the voters out to the polls.

3. I couldn't agree more. The stronger our presence is, the harder it is for them
to steal it.

If we are diligent and show up in force to watch & listen,
and if we get people out to vote.... they wont be able
to steal it AGAIN.

2. Driving voters to the polls and manning some phones. I'd love to be a poll worker
but I'm insulin dependent and need to eat on a pretty tight schedule.

I salute you for doing so! :patriot:

6. I meet the nicest people doing that; I had flu in 2004 and couldn't do it
and I really missed it.

Now, I know that many of you wont be able to- but anyone that can, should.

8. Volunteer to drive repuke voters to the polls and leave them off in the middle of nowhere.
It is beyond time for direct action.

11. LibraLiz1973 , do you have a link to the McCain staffers calling Jewish people asking
if they would still want to vote Obama if they knew he supported the PLO? That's news to me and I'd like to read more about it -- I'm on a break at work (shhhh....) and my Google abilities are truncated.

16. Not totally sure yet.
I really wish I had a vehicle to drive people to their voting places. I called our local public transport and spoke to a nice lady and asked if maybe they could let people ride for free that day. She thought it was great idea and would pass it on, but said it probably won't happen. x(

I'm lucky that I have a ride that day, and the polling place is close enough to walk if I had to, but I know there's a lot of people, especially some elderly voters, that are going to have a hard time.
