Good Morning America - Oy the Irony!!
Barack Obama was on Good Morning America today.

In addition to his interview GMA asked a number of Americans in a diner what they would like to hear from the candidates. They were very specific and very issue oriented answers. They wanted to hear mostly about the economy, about social security, health care costs, the financial and mortgage crisis, about jobs being lost and stagnating wages and inflation, about public education, about security and foreign policy, etc.

Then they had the interview. Needless to say not a single one of those issues was raised by the interviewer. Instead he asked about how the campaign was dealing with the selection of Sarah Palin, about the recent ad 1982 which the interview called a "negative ad" and said that it called McCain "old", about his not selecting hillary clinton as his vp and about his relationship with Bill Clinton.

That's it!

So, they very seriously asked all of these people what they wanted to hear and when they had the opportunity to spend time with the Obama they decided to use that very precious opportunity to engage in a conversation with him that no one, no one gives a damn about. They wasted their and our time and nothing was discussed that in any way affects the lives of normal, average Americans.

It was, however, a very enlightening look into how vapid and full of shit our media is. I'm sure the irony was totally lost on them as well.
