Why are we stuck on stupid on this experience thing?
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 12:04 PM by Skwmom
It's the competence, stupid!

For God's sake, George Bush had more executive experience then all of them when he took office and we all know how that turned out. Anyone that would have actually looked at his record would have seen that the competent executive image the Rove team created was all smoke and mirrors. The guy was an incompetent idiot. Now we're all paying the price. The repeal of Glass-Steagall made the current mess possible BUT it would not have happened without the good at selling a phony image to the American Public, suck at governing Republicans.

Sarah Palin hired unqualified cronies for high paying government jobs.
Sarah Palin was too busy out disrupting abortion clinics to meet with the mayors of Alaska (who complained loudly about her failure to meet with them to take care of state business).
Sara Palin used her position of power to settle personal scores.
Sara Palin has governed under the principal that you're either with me or against me.
Sarah Palin screwed up the one big land deal she handled as mayor.
Sarah Palin, the self-proclaimed reformer, was a pork queen.
Sarah Palin, left her town of a few thousand millions of dollars in debt.
Sara Palin lies repeatedly. If you had a great record to run on and were what you represented yourself to be, would you need to constantly lie? And what kind of reformer is a serial liar? Would you hire a serial liar?
Sara Palin's touted accomplishments do not hold up to scrutiny.

Someone should make a laundry list of why her experience demonstrates that she unqualified to be a VERY CLOSE heartbeat away from the presidency.

Obama has proven himself to be intellectually up to the very difficult task of running this country. Mr. 5th from the bottom of his class (of almost 900) and Ms. 6 colleges in five years do NOT have the mental capacity to run this country. We've went the stupid route and it's screwed this country big time.

Bush has been President for 8 years, and using this experience logic he would be the best person qualified to serve 4 more years but heck, the man isn't even QUALIFIED to flip hamburgers at the local steak and fries.

I can look at McCain's experience and say WHAT has the man really accomplished all those years in Washington besides becoming close friends with 160 lobbyists. Sure he passed campaign finance reform but bid deal, it's full of loopholes that even John McCain has exploited. And national security, foreign policy expert? Get real, he was a big cheerleader for this war, told us it would be easy and the oil would pay for it. Yeah, with this track record of incompetence he would have us believe that he is best suited to lead this country.

JUST TELL THE TRUTH AND THEY WILL BE DEFEATED.

2. When you are hiring someone for a job you look at their COMPETENCE, their abilities!

If the American Public had focused on that in 2000, we wouldn't be in this mess.

4. With All That Experience, McAin't Keeps Making the Same Mistakes Over and Over
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 12:18 PM by AndyTiedye
He was one of the Keating 5 in the 80's
and he was pushing more dangerous deregulation 2 decades later.

Just like he crashed 5 airplanes trying to be a pilot.

What good is experience if he never learns from it?

5. The focus has got to be on competence.
We've just had 8 years of incompetence and look where that had led us. We are truly on the bridge to nowhere.
