John McCain - Sneaking Into The Presidency With The Help Of Big Media
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 12:21 PM by Median Democrat
We saw it during the RNC when the Republicans demanded to take back Washington from themselves, and McCain and Palin doing their best to steal campaign themes from the Obama campaign with an emphasis on change, and McCain now declaring "Enough." Indeed, if you watch McCain campaign, commericials, you would not know that McCain and Palin are Republicans, since they emphasize how they have fought Republicans.

It is an audacious strategy that requires a big assist from Big Media in the form of Big Media's fundamental failure to cover or discuss any issues. I have yet to see anytype of media analysis that compares John McCain and Barrack Obama's platforms and proposals to George Bush. No one is conducting this basic analysis, thus the Obama campaign is left with the job of doing the media's job for them by focusing on the issues.

It is really sad that Jon Stewart of all people is the only show that actually points out what should be obvious, that John McCain is simply going to continue George Bush's policies on most everything. It is apparently the great Taboo of the 2008 election, to compare George Bush's policies to both McCain and Obama.

P.S. Can anyone help me on this? Is there any news stories that you have come across, which accurately compare the candidate's positions with those of George Bush, particularly on the economy?
