Research 2000 tracking: Palin is still falling like a rock
MCCAIN 51 45 4
OBAMA 54 38 8
BIDEN 48 32 20
PALIN 47 43 10

Okay Palin now has a 47/43 fav/unfav rating (+4). Three days ago it was 49/40, then 48/42, then 47/42 and now today 47/43.

Notice too that McCain's unfav rating is now the highest of anybody (45%) and his net fav/unfav 51/45 is only +6. His ratings are also beginning to tank! the negative campaigning is hurting him. Meanwhile Obama's 54/38 (+16) is matched by Biden (48/32).

1. So Caribou Barbie is less popular than her boss?
And Obama is more popular than all of them.

2. She will become an anchor around McCain's neck.
That's why they don't want people focusing on Palin. The more they know the less they like.

3. I believe that McCain will eventually rue the day that he selected
Palin for the V.P. slot. Cindy probably already does.

11. Nah, he's not doing that. For one thing, by the time he meets his
campaigning schedule, he would be too tired for that sort of thing.

17. It has been a breathtaking two weeks ...
including the R convention, and while I like Chuck Todd, it is as much a convention bump as a Palin (or ANY VP for that matter) bump ...

But, I agree pretty strongly. I still to this day think that ROMNEY would have been been BIG problems. I think that Pawlenty would have been a decent pick, but not help as much as Romney. I don't have a real sense how Jomentum or Ridge would have been.

But, my gut has said from the very moment, that Palin would be a net loss when it was all said and done. Had he picked an actual QUALIFED woman, it might have been a net gain. But, only the MSM's WHORING over her could even BEGIN to mitigate the fact that she has SO much baggage, even the media can't not cover it.

Amazingly, McCain found a way, IMO, to pick a VP who HURT HIM.

This lady is a TRAIN WRECK as a VP pick, completely and without any doubt. Again, only the MSM being under orders to carry water for Rs can mitigate it as much as they will.

18. I love it how our candidates have the best numbers.
Obama has the highest positive #
and Biden has the lowest negative #.
