Got my first Phone Call from the Obama Campaign today...

A very nice woman called and said that she was calling on behalf of the Obama campaign, and appreciated my previous donations. They said that there are only 49 days left and they need help to combat the lies that the McCain camp is spreading, and would I be willing to donate $50 more.

I said HELL YES - and she laughed. After I gave her the money, I asked her how succuessful she's been.. and she said that only about 1/3 of the people their calling are actually answering the phone (I have a home office so that's the only reason I did), but she said about 1/2 of the people who answer the phone are donating! Wow.. that's awesome!

Calling phone lists myself, and we're going to help canvass a south omaha neighborhood this weekend. My first time - i'm excited. Omaha could be the 270th tie breaking vote this election.. whoo hoo!
