They still won't let her take questions...

at all...

from anyone.

She sticks to the teleprompter and repeats the lies over and over and over again...kind of like a stepford wife.

1. Would you?
She's not ready for prime time yet. She is devoid of political experience, wit, or imagination needed to render effective BS.

2. Barbie is pretty and all, but...
Caribou Barbie is pretty and all, but unless she talks or does something more interesting than just sit there like a plastic doll she's going to end up on the bottom of the media toybox pretty soon.

3. She's pretty until she opens her mouth and starts spewing hate and insults...
That makes a person ugly. I can't stand to look at her anymore.

16. Absolutely
We only need to have some actual attention paid to Obama and Biden so people can compare and contrast.

7. Apparently she's even shielded from the travelling press accompanying her.
It's bound to start bubbling up in press reports. You'd think?

9. You know what would be funny?
You know that Palin secretly thinks she's smart enough to do this job, AND to handle the press. One day, I hope and I pray, she will just get fed up with all the handling and decide to do an unscripted, improptu press conference...and it will be every bit as revealing and hilarious as Lena Lamont's speech to the audience at the end of Singin' In The Rain.

"If we can bring a little moose meat into your drab, humdrum lives, then all our hard work ain't been in vain for nothin!"

C ya,

The Plaid Adder

10. Clearly Sarah Palin's role is to play to the base
I'm more and more convinced that's her raison d'etre. The McCain campaign doesn't give a shit if she talks to the media (and the media are complicit in this by not pushing back) or if she reaches the rest of "us". Her sole role is to play to the "base" at these Rethug gatherings. She is to ignite them.

It's such a weird dynamic. I want to believe we're going to win this election fair and square but the McCain camp's usage of Sarah Palin demonstrates that their goals are so different than what we're thinking a VP candidate should be doing.

Her bizarre adherence to the "script" knowing it's been outed as a pack of lies, her insulation from the press, her utter disdain in trying to reach anyone other than those at scripted Rethug events, imho, means that her job isn't to be a VP for the country - it's to be the poster child for the RR.

Eek!
