Filling Election Board positions (Poll Workers)
Here in Indiana each party fills positions with poll workers for the election.

It may not be anything but the Republicans might be trying to fill some of our positions by having Republicans calling us to be assigned as Democrats.

We have received a few calls from those that have served as poll workers for the Republican Party. Mostly we tell them they need to call the Republican Party when we find out they had not been appointed by us. We would also receive calls from those that had been assigned by the Republican Party and then receive calls from those poll workers asking where they had been assigned. We couldn't locate them in our start up database. And couldn't figure out at first why we couldn't locate them.

We started using a database application that I created in the Primary to better keep track of the poll workers and reduce errors as well as have a pool of available workers that was easy to find. After the Primary I obtained data of the workers for 2006, 2007 from both Parties in addition to other years I had located and imported it into the database. Now we have a database with a sizeable number of records (over 3200) that we can check their history if any. Each person could have from zero to 9 event which shows a history for each election, position, party and status.

The Republican Party may or may not be trying to fill all or enough of the positions at each or targeted voting sites.

Just a warning of one way the Republican Party might be using to win.
