Over the past month, I have now called hundreds of people in the state of Wisconsin and this is what my experience has been:

The call lists are made up of "independent" voters. How they compile these list, I do not know.
I have called people who tell me they are republicans and voting for McCain.
I have called people who have hung up on me the moment they hear the word "Obama."
I have called people who can not wait to vote for BARACK OBAMA.
I have called people who probably are going to vote for Obama.
I have called people who are "Lean Obama."
I have called people who are undecided.

I have not spoken to one person who is "leaning McCain."

I know this is not very scientific, but I think whatever votes McCain has are the votes he has.

My sense is that there are voters out there who just aren't going to bring themselves to vote for
More of the Same even if the aren't too crazy about Obama.

what more could you find out about him that would change your mind now?

2. I've found the same to be true...

but I hadn't been able to actually put it into words. During my phone banking I found...no leaners for McCain but many for Obama. And I'm in Florida.

3. That's pretty similar to what I have been experiencing as well

I knocked on 100 doors Friday, and I only found 1 person leaning McCain. There were a couple of undecideds leaning Obama, but that was it. I ran into two houses of Hill-bots, too, but of course, they had stated that they were 100% behind McCain.
