Open letter to anyone considering voting for McCain:
republicans say they don't feel the government should interfere with our lives. You call lying to us about a war and sending our troops to die for nothing "not interfering"? What about the huge amounts of money they've paid cronies in Iraq and Saudi Arabia to support the big oil agenda there? Have YOU seen any benefits from this? The very LAST thing we need to be doing to secure US interests is to:

1.Further piss of Arab countries

2.Spend our dwindling (actually borrowed from China) resources on securing foreign fossil fuel reserves-for oil company profits-NOT yours and mine-when fossil fuels are destroying the planet we live on.

3.Adopt public policy based on religious fundamentalist beliefs-hey man, look at the Taliban! You think US fundamentalists are any different? The republicans are letting them dictate domestic policy. now THAT is interfering in our lives!

4.Elect a 72 year old hot head who picks a gun-toting former beauty queen as a VP running mate when both of them would love to go over and invade Russia for their oil reserves. Who is going to pay? Who is going to gain? Who is going to die?
Think about it. We don't WANT oil anymore. We want clean energy. Our tax dollars should be used for that if it is used for anything.

I look at it like this. We used to be a rich nation. 8 yrs of this administration has bankrupted us. China owns America now. All these are proven facts. But we know the gov will continue to spend our tax dollars. I'd rather they take the money and help the middle class and the disadvantaged at home (to raise them up to be productive) and help those abroad so we become cooperative citizens and nations, NOT enemies. The money is going to be spent one way or another. Do you want to KILL with it? Or would you rather use it to educate and encourage cooperation and prosperity? I think this is a different world view that the majority of Americans need to adopt but do not even begin to understand. It is made from the fundamental principals we learn as children. "Liberals" know it works because education and cooperation have worked for us in our own communities, but the conservatives don't know this. They just continue with their HATE and KILL agenda. I don't want to live this way. it doesn't WORK! Look at the mess the republicans have made of our country. And I believe we don't have to do things this way. It's not a matter of opinion. It has been proven that the only gains to be made from these hateful policies are those that benefit corporations NOT citizens. Prove me wrong and I will sleep better tonight.

Your major issue seems to be you don't want governmental intervention. OK. Then Don't use my taxes for oil wars. Don't give no-bid contracts to your VP's old company KBR/Halliburton. Don't legislate morality. Don't lose billions in Iraq when the people know they're just all taking it to pay bribes. Don't tell my child's teacher he can't teach science. Don't tell half the country they are unpatriotic because we don't support a war built on lies. THAT, my friend, as McCain is so apt to say, is intervention. Maybe you don't remember, but Clinton got rid of welfare for the poor. Now we just have welfare for the rich!

here's a perfect example:
Did you know, that once upon a time, G W Bush bought a baseball team in Texas. He needed a new stadium for them to play in. But unlike most businessmen, the you's and me's (unless you are one of them), his connections enabled him to tax the people of his city in order to build it. Can you imagine, if Alphonso Robinson down the street wanted to have a go-cart track and his back-door connections downtown enabled him to get his track built by taxing the people in his city? You'd scream welfare and corruption. Well, this is basically what happened. And then, when Bush sold the team, he didn't have to pay income tax on the sale, but was taxed at a much lower rate. This is corporate welfare. Using tax money to help the upper 1-2% of the population and then giving them a tax break on their earnings on top of that.

This upper 1-2% SHOULD be taxed more on what they earn because their earnings are dependant upon a larger portion of our resources to accumulate. Do you see this? A large logistics company, a major financial institution, a pharmaceutical company, any major corporation requires a vast amount of resources to operate that are provided as infrastructure by the federal and state tax payer. Those who profit under these companies should therefore be required to reimburse the countries' bad states' coffers in the form of taxes. If they aren't, then they are on federal and state welfare. MOST corporations do not pay taxes. And I dare say they provide VERY FEW jobs that are jobs that allow a REAL living wage.

This is a complicated situation that most people really do not understand. They are too busy putting food on their table and raising children. But it is real and something that those of us who CAN pay attention to should educate ourselves well on and help others to understand.

What are our troops fighting for right now? Freedom? Not mine. Not yours. Iraq didn't do JACK to you and me. What happened was a bunch of top echelon folks, highly connected, decided they'd make a damn killing on this war. And they have, and a lot of people are dead and a lot of white businessmen are very very rich and the people can't do a damn thing about it because the rich own the US government now. They own the media. They control it all.

You're living in a fascist state now. I'm angry about that. You say your problem and my problem are different. I don't see it that way. Unless you are filthy rich, and I mean filthy rich like these people, you are merely a tool in their toolbox. You and me. Same problem.

I want my leaders to be the smartest motherfuckers in the room. I want them to honestly care about the people who pay taxes in this country. I want our tax dollars, yours and mine to be spent fairly, for the benefit of all of us. I want the rich to be taxed as they should be, but they aren't. they use us as wage slaves to grow their corporations and build their empires. They purchase the media and control the truth. I can give you rock solid evidence of everything I am saying here.
I care about you. And me. And the asshole down the street. I even care about the filthy rich. I want us to have a system that is fair and that works. I think we know that McCain and Palin are too crazy...too stuck on the wrong path to give us that.

Obama is an extremely smart man. I'm sure you can see that. Not only has he taught constitutional law, which impresses the hell out of me since I've seen nothing but this administration using our constitution as toilet paper. he has handled himself impeccably during this campaign. He is a real leader and is having a huge affect on the attitudes of many in this country who have heretofore not had any interest at all in the politics of their communities, states and country. He can turn these people around and we need that. We need everyone in our country to be involved with making it a better place to live.

Biden is a long-time member of the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, which he chaired from 1987 until 1995 and on which he served as ranking minority member from 1981 until 1987 and again from 1995 until 1997. Biden is also a long-time member and current chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. (info from wikipedia)

I see that the progressive ticket of Obama/Biden knows we have to treat business well and knows we have to be good to our citizenry in order to have a peaceful and productive society. I have no doubt they will do a better job handling foreign affairs. We are seen as torturing, invading, corrupt murderers now. Morally bankrupt. We need to fix this and it won't happen with the slack-ass antics of the ones on the republican ticket this time.

Bush was a puppet of the powers that be and they'll use McCain too; for the better good of the major multinational corporations, no matter how much asbestos you inhale, no matter how thin your ozone gets, no matter how dangerous your disenfranchised neighbors become, no matter how high your gas goes, no matter how many young men and women are drafted and killed in the next war, no matter how huge our debt is with China, no matter how many jobs we lose to India...they'll use him. Look at how corrupt the judiciary was under this administration? They had to break every law in the book to do what they did. Look at all of them who had to resign due to scandal. Wolfowitz, Libby, Rumsfeld, Rove (the devil himself) I'm not talking BLOW JOB...I'm talking government corruption. Crimes against the people. Anti American. Anti democracy. 2 stolen elections. And maybe another one on the way. Why wasn't replacing the electronic voting machines the very first thing on the agenda of our government if they weren't benefiting from the rig? Did you benefit? I didn't.

I think Obama is above this. I think he is smart enough to know the game and how to chose the right staff to help combat corruption.

Think about this: How many republicans were warning you about terrorism before 9/11? if they were so damn smart...why were they so dumb? I say they weren't. I say they knew. Follow the money. Look at the DOW before Sept 11 2001. Watch what went up and what went down. Watch oil, gas, weapons manufacturers, aerospace. Wise up! Unless you already are and you're just as corrupt as they are.

Oh. You don't care? That's MY problem and not yours? Do you have any friends or relatives or children who may die in the next war?

I'll send you all the info you want to support what I'm asserting here.
If you aren't filthy rich, then you may need to know this: They are lying to you. They are using you.

Final Note: I heard a mother of a dead 22 yr old US soldier say the other day on the radio: “There is no loss. He knew what he was fighting for. Our freedom is everything.”

What, I ask you, does “freedom” mean exactly to 99% of Americans these days? Be sure of this: A government that controls the media, spies, lies, steals, tortures, uses you children for cannon fodder for their economic gain, ignores the tax payer’s best interests where his or her environment, health care and economy are concerned is not a government concerned about your “freedom”.

They are LYING TO YOU.

Let me know if I can help you further with any information. It really IS OUR problem.

Democrats aren't about handing our money to people who don't deserve it..but I promise you, the republicans most certainly are. McCain is their boy.
