Politico.com: Senator Obama wins yet another day! |
|
I think he's won something like the last 5 in a row. Awesome. Let's keep it up. Here's a snippet:
8:11 p.m.: Final score: Obama wins the day By Politico Staff
For once, this isn’t really a close call. Faced with a major curveball – bank failures on Wall Street – the Obama campaign refocused its message far more successfully than team McCain did. Both Obama and Biden laced into McCain for supporting policies they charged would further damage the economy. The line of the day? Probably Biden’s quip, delivered in Michigan: “I could walk from here to Lansing, and I wouldn’t run into a single person who thought our economy was doing well, unless I ran into John McCain.”
As the Democrats were effectively reasserting themselves on the campaign trail, the McCain camp struggled to address the events of the day. McCain, who has never been comfortable talking economics, stumbled with his comment that “the fundamentals of our economy are strong.” He may have compounded his mistake by following up with the unconvincing claim that he was talking about the strength of the American workforce.
Having the economic collapse today was a godsend to the Obama campaign. It allowed them to do EXACTLY what they needed to do. Focus the election SQUARELY on the economy, which is how we win. Mccain doesn't have a clue what he's talking about economics wise and if this is issue #1, we're in very good stead. I can't imagine voters voting for more of this economy.
You can see just how many cycles he has been winning lately if you go page by page XD.

1. Any day the focus is on the economy should be a winning day for the Dems. |
|
The media will try to push Palin/McWimpy as reformers who know what's best for the economy, but that'll be a tough sell after 8 years of Republican rule, and because Americans are finally waking up to the reality that Palin's a complete idiot.
