People need to be prepared for dominant debate performances from McCain and Palin.

Hear me out, they are both AMAZING debaters. I would go so far as to call them master debaters. In fact, I believe that they are in the same league as both Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas. I just want people to be prepared to see them wipe the floor with Obama and Biden. We need to manage our expectations.

Now, if Obama and/or Biden were to exceed those expectations . . .

2. Raising expectations. Okay, we get it.
But seriously. C'mon. If Biden and Obama don't take them I, for one, will be ashamed.

But I'll own that shame if need be.

8. Nothing about the 2000 election will be as bad as the FL recount.
But the way the "pundits" raved about Bush because he was able to string together a sentence still burns the hell out of me. I remember counting down the days before Gore would annihilate him, which he did, only to be burned by the expectations game.

9. Palin is really good, better than Biden. She didn't even have to show up to her debates to win.
And McCain is probably the best debater in the Senate. I hope Obama is practicing.

10. You have got a great point there.
I don't know how Biden is going to be able to stand up to Palin.

And Obama - how is his new vision for America going to possibly compete with Bush 44?

15. I just hope we can survive . . . really.
I mean, the command of language and facts and lightning speed of their thinking - McCain and Palin simply can't compare to anyone. We'll be lucky to emerge with our manhood intact.
