Obama and Biden and the Clintons took a some time in each region of the country to be on the same stage at the same time in a really big venue? Work it into the current schedule. I think a few high wattage events would crank up the volume and definitely draw media attention. Suggested topic: kitchen table econmics.

1. I like it and we could take an ugly lick at McShame at the same time |

McCain and Palin wanted us to do some town halls with them but we thought we'd bring out some people with something to add to the conversation, Bill and Hillary Clinton.

2. Chuck Todd MSNBC was suggesting that Obama and Biden |

do some campaigning as a team (like McCain/Palin does).

3. Pointless. Obama and Biden are strong enough to campaign alone. |
|
It makes more sense for them to split up and cover double the ground. McCain and Palin apparently can't campaign independently.

The reasoning behind the suggestion is that if Obama is having a problem right now, it is most likely due to race. Todd was saying that it would be a smart idea for Obama AND Biden to campaign together in some of the areas where that issue might be hurting them. Todd was saying that just like Palin makes fundies feel better about McCain, Biden would make anyone who is tentative about Obama based on race feel better about their ticket. No doubt it is a strategy based on racism, but it made sense to me.

6. Thanks for adding that. |

I think the area he was concerned about was what they call the rust belt... Specifically Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and maybe Indiana (if I remember correctly) could benefit from seeing Biden with Obama.

7. I think the biggest problem Obama is having right now is not race but the media's |

obsession with Palin does not allow his economic message to get out. Hence, I suggested a combined effort among the leaders of our Party to 1) pull in a large number of people to hear the message, 2) make it regional to circumvent the selective cut-away that the national media does and perhaps get them on CSPAN, and 3) reinforce the themes of party unity, change, and the "urgency of now."
If we do anything less but address the "urgency of now" and work to present the economic policies of this party, we are failing the nation. And, an associated suggestion would be that we find a way of encapsulating that policy message in 5 words or less.

I tend to pass over threads with suggestions for the Obama-Biden campaign. This OP is the reason that I don't simply pass over all of them.
Nominated. And I will forward this idea.

And because we seriously need to move to the urgent message at hand and ask "Sarah who?" more when someone brings her up. I'd rather talk about the economy before I go under for the third time and and there are no life guards on the beach.
