My LTTE on Palin's media avoidance makes it to print

Strangely, they edited a piece out that makes it incorrect... I struck out that piece and changed it to unvetted, which is what I submitted.

It looks like John McCain has rallied the Republican base to his cause by selecting radical and ultra-conservative Alaska governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate, while simultaneously insulting far more qualified women in his own party, like Jodi Rell, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Condi Rice and Christie Whitman. Strangely, since the selection of the inexperienced and askedunvetted Palin to be his VP, John McCain has been afraid to let Sarah Palin meet the press or appear in any unscripted situations. My question to John McCain and Sarah Palin would be, if Sarah Palin cannot handle a few moderately tough questions from our passive media, how can she handle dealing with rival heads of state like Hu Jintao of China, Dmitry Medvedev or Vladimir Putin from Russia , or the heads of Iran or Syria? How can she face down Al Qaeda if she is scared of Larry King?
