22. Older, white, married, brown-haired, green-eyed women living in Ponca, Nebraska
with 3 kids, 2 cats and a dog are "flocking" to Palin.

"Facts" can be read however the media wants to spin them.

32. No they don't. But they comprise a good chunk of those smitten by Palin.
The women I know in that category certainly don't support her, but nationally that's not necessarily the case.

33. Older white men are a good part of that chunk, too.
And as a group they've been supporting McCain from the get-go. For what it's worth, the white women I know were disgusted and insulted by McCain's choosing Palin. But then, the white women I know are all Democrats.

36. I think older white women in places like Florida comprise a lot of the Clinton supporters...
who are shifting to McCain, no matter how small their numbers.

Clinton had very strong numbers in Florida and the primary had record turnout and...it didn't count. They're pissed at the Democratic Party and Dean.

18. I'd clarify that further...
SOME white women.

Most white women I know, me included, hate that anti-woman faux woman the Republicans have propped up.

10. Then they're fools.
Must resist urge to say something mysogynistic, because the male is as suceptible to this kind of persuasion as is the female. Still, Fuckit.

14. He's clueless.
I have an aunt who is a long-time, Christian-conservative-Republican type. She's always critical of Democrats and always defends Republicans. I've gotten into a number of heated email exchanges over the debunked spam emails she sends me, including the one about Michelle's thesis. I found out yesterday that she sent another GOP aunt an anti-McCain/Palin email. She cannot stand Palin and believes she's already got a full plate with her own family and has no business running for national office at this point in her life. I don't know that she's voting for Obama, but she's definitely not voting for McCain and it's specifically because of Palin.

My cousin (a top 1%er and member of the AoG church) is also turned off by Palin and didn't think much of her acceptance speech. Granted he's a male and I don't know what his wife thinks of her, but not all Republicans are gaga for Mooselini.

Chuckie Tee needs to get out more.

16. What women are those?
I'm a woman and I'm not.
My mother is a woman and she's not.
Neither are my co-workers, my friends nor any other woman who wasn't already in the fundie tank to begin with.

Most women think Palin will send us back to the dark ages. Fundie women want to be there. Real women don't.

23. husband goes out into the world. i dont.... cant anymore. BUT he said last night has heard NO ONE
supporting or enthusied about palin.

i have not talked to anyone in my area about palin, though sons were asking me about ne at check out stand, .... and three texas males around as i ripped her, what was truth and not for my children. they didnt say anything. but husband is a computer dude and works around the educated, and he said last night he has not heard a single positive thing about this woman. texans have a lot of alaska mentality with both male and female, so i think that is telling.

but I highly doubt that Independent women are....and if they are, then I don't get that. I think I'm pretty mainstream Ind. and I can't even imagine voting for painintheass/mccrap.

Unfortunately, a lot of people believe that a dumb white woman is still deemed more qualified than a smart black man.

Sad...
