The similarities are astounding. An entire generation studied this, they are long gone. Although there appear to be some surface differences the similarities are amazing. I could go on all day with this but I do not have enough time. Wikipedia comes close. Actually Hoover had a humanitarian streak which I find missing with McCain. To me McCain's remark yesterday will mark him below Hoover forever.
Yes McHoover works for me.

Hoover was actually a smart man. He was orphaned at a young age and got an engineering degree from Stanford on his own. He and his wife spoke Mandarin Chinese fluently. He translated 'De Re Metallica' from the Latin into English. He certainly could do better in school than fifth from the bottom. His problem was that once he got into office, he felt bound by the set of rules that capitalists used to run the Republican party.

Hoover actually gave a damn about people, and was a truly great humanitarian.
