NORTH CAROLINA: New voter registration numbers favor the Dems by an 8-1 ratio

North Carolina in the presidential spotlight

<snip>

* Led by a major registration drive by the Obama campaign, the number of new Democratic voters registered in North Carolina is greatly outpacing -- by an 8-to-1 ratio -- the numbers for Republican voters.

3. Its absolutely tied in the polls....... because the pollsters have no way to talk to THESE people

They have no contact info on NEW voters, so there ya go. The polls are tied, the race IS NOT, we've got the stacked deck.

8. "Likely Voter" polls don't count these new voters...
...because they define "likely" as someone who has a history of voting on a regular basis. So these hoards of new voters who were motivated to register so they could vote out the ruling party are not counted in the polls.

Even Chuck Todd admitted that on TV this morning.

6. The Republicans will have a big job trying to suppress Dem voting, but they'll give it a good try

Wonder if North Carolina is one of the four states to pass a no-match, no-vote law, like Florida?

A. No, but one is Iowa. The other two are Lousiana and South Dakota.

14. My Experience
now I'm in CO where "unaffiliated" voters out number both Dem's and GOP - but when I sign up voters, they are proudly registering as democrats, probably because they learned a huge lesson about Caucasus this year and how they couldn't participate if they were unaffiliated with either party.

Especially the younger voters who for the first time got a lesson in primaries/caucuses.

Unaffiliated voters consider themselves "independents", but when I call them - I have never dealt with a bunch of apathetic, indecisive and not that interested. Many go by their gut and frankly that scares me.

I'm not overly optimistic, but it would be nice.
