Would someone explain to me what town hall meetings
have to do with running dishonest ads against Obama. That seems to be his answer every time he is asked about his lying ads. He keeps saying if Obama had agreed to town hall meetings, the campaign would be different. I don't get it.

1. If Obama had nly agreed to town hall meetings
the stock market wouldn't be in the toilet, the Pakistanis wouldn't be shooting at us and Bristol Palin wouldn't be pregnant.

12. A sane person cannot make an insane person sane, but an insane person can make a sane person nuts!
It's become impossible to analyze what McCain and Palin say because their statements
are not at all related to reality.

Don't even try!:hi:

4. He's a vengeful asshole. Obama didn't do what McCain wanted so he's punishing him.
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 10:02 AM by sparosnare
McCain's actions are Obama's fault.

You know, I've raised three kids. Since they were very small, I've made it clear they are responsible for their own actions. Other people don't 'make' you do things; it's always your choice.

Apparently McCain's mother never taught him that.

10. I have seen him spew this 100 times ...
in the last couple of weeks, but no one EVER calls him on it.

It fits the culture created by the republican party of ZERO personal responsiblity - it isn't HIS fault he is running the most retarded campaign every, it is Obama's.

5. It doesn't have to make any logical sense - McCain is calling Obama "chicken."
Has McCain uttered one word of logic or truth in this campaign? I rest my case.

9. He has no excuse for running the ads.
For some reason, McCain is convinced he can think fast on his feet. He's been told that "town hall" formats are his milieu, and if he can sucker Obama into answering questions from everyday people, he can mop the floor with him.

The egocentric theory revolves around two important presumptions:
That Obama can only read from a telepromptor.
That no one from "The View" will show up.

Giving his excuse for running a dishonest campaign on debate format is akin to diverting from his real estate holdings by describing the furnishings at the Hanoi Hilton.

19. It's called "blaming the victim"
IE, I wouldn't have beaten you to a bloody pulp if you had only done what I wanted/told you to do. I TOLD Obama to go to town hall meeting with me, but he didn't, so now it's all his fault I'm lying about him. Typical sociopath-It's never their fault, so they never have to take responsibility for their actions. I'm beginning to believe that, while all sociopaths are not republicans, all republicans are sociopaths!

so fucking predictable. The whole idea of town hall debates sounds so hokey to me - I'm glad Obama blew him off on that stupid idea.

25. It makes no sense. Just like when McShame was asked if he really thinks Obama called Palin a pig.
His answer was "No". Then he was asked "So why did you 'approve this message' if you didn't believe it? His answer was "Because he shouldn't have said it".

WTF? That's another one that makes absolutely no sense.

John McShame is nuckin' futs!

28. as Wonkette put it
it's equal to pouring diarrhea on someone's house because they wouldn't return your phone calls. And as I understand it, the McCain and Obama camp just couldn't agree on the proposal...the Obama camp agreed to three town halls, and McCain camp wanted ten or nothing! McCain got a fucking three month head start on general election campaigning, even though I think that Obama would kick McCain's ass in town halls, I can kind of understand why they wouldn't want to do TEN. Robert Gibbs was on Morning Joe a while ago claiming that the McCain camp never got back to them about their compromise for three town halls, and said something like "I have the emails to prove it, do you want to see the emails?", while the McCain advisor just chuckled and acted like a usual asshole.

29. He's whining and crying about it.
I know I'm biased, but when he talked about begging Obama to join him in the town hall meeting forums again this morning, I heard WAHH-WAHH.

I wonder if a true undecided hears it the same way? I really wish somebody would just tell him to GET OVER IT.

That's why McAin't want "town hall" meetings, where he gets to pick the audience and all the questions.
