When did Palin smoke dope? |
|
Under Alaska state law, marijuana was legal between 1975 and 2006.
So was she smoking pot in high school?
While she was out of state for college? While she was back in state for college?
When she was working as a sports reporter?
Or did she smoke pot after she started a family and entered politics?
If someone's a prohibitionist, I think we have a right to know these things.

2. my guess is, about a half hour before she sat down with charlie gibson. |
|
personally, i think her dope smoking is irrelevant. there are enough other things out there to prove her as a do-as-i-say, don't-do-as-i-do, typical republican type.

17. You mean their dope smoking, oxycontin addicted "join the army or go to jail" son Track? |
|
Trig is the little baby, and unless the Enquirer rumors of Moosealini having an affair are true, we can assume he was conceived "in wedlock".

11. Did you know they can shoot bears from helicopters in Alaska now because of Palin? |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 11:32 AM by Major Hogwash
Not only do they shoot wolves, and caribou, but the law also allowed for bears to be shot from helicopters.
Palin is also sueing the federal government to overturn listing the polar bear as an endangered species.
Ed Schultz was talking about this yesterday on his radio program. The proposition was rejected twice by voters, but after Palin got into the governor's office, they proposed it again, except this time they worded the proposition so that a "no" vote meant that they would allow for hunting from helicopters.
Instead of writing the proposition in a straight forward manner, such as "do you think we should be allowed to hunt wolves, caribou, and bears from helicopters", they changed the wording to say "do you think the state should be allowed to prohibit the hunting of wolves, caribou, and bears from helicopters".
Except that the proposition itself was much longer, a huge paragraph, with phrases that almost seemed contradictory in nature to the opening statement, totally obliterating the meaning of the proposition.
That's not exactly the type of transparency we want in this country from out federal government.
We already have that now, with Bush.
So, McCain/Palin is not about change at all.

12. Isn't Wasilla known as the meth and dope capital of Alaska? |
|
I read that somewhere here a few days ago. Bill Maher said Palin would probably name her next child "Tweaker". Palin and Todd probably like to work out of their home in Wasilla and not in the Governor's manion so they can have some private "inspiration" in their busy work day.

15. yeah...she seems more like a meth-head than a pot smoker... |
|
of course, i'm just alluding to her indulging in possible drug use, and making a generalization as to which drug of popular local choice that drug might be...
there is absolutely no proof that she uses drugs....well, not blood-test-type proof, anyway...
and speech patterns and personal mannerisms and 'moods' are not indicators of drug use/abuse...well, not necessarily, anyway...
BUT...if i was to guess....
Local Meth....plus, she would be helping her local economy....

There is no dope capital of Alaska because MOST of Alaska supports legalization.
As far as meth, there is an issue w/ it in Wasilla but there is an issue w/ it in most urban areas of Alaska and the rest of the PACNW. (Yes I know it sounds funny to call Wasilla urban by lower 48 standards, but by Alaskan standards it's pretty much a big suburb of Anchorage, our largest city). I shake my head every time this topic comes up because it makes it sound like Wasilla is a den of meth labs when in reality most residents have nothing to do with meth.

18. Dead issue, she's probably NOT a prohibitionist anyway |
|
I don't know anyone, R or D in Alaska who is a true prohibitionist.
It's a non-issue. Voters don't care. Redirect. Take focus off small issues w/ Palin and refocus on the Big Issues with McCain/Palin like 4 more years of Bush policy and It's The Economy Stupid.
