CNN, then MSNBC has Obama CO rally on
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 11:32 AM by ClarkUSA
Obama is knocking McCain:

-- for being for deregulation just a few weeks ago;

-- for offering more tax cuts for wealthy;

-- for having Phil "Whiners" Gramm as his top economic advisor;

-- for supporting a war that is costing us $10B a month of deficit spending.

CNN cut his speech off to go to break. And MSNBC cut off Grandpa's rambling to carry Obama's speech now.

1. MSNBC is currently.
...talking about how "forceful" and "amazing" Grandpa's speech was.

No mention of Obama.

MSNBC has really disappointed me lately.

3. They're bending over backwards to fight the charges that they are in the tank for Obama
Balance that with the Fox News' anchor who raked McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds for his campaign's ads' lies.

5. I didn't see that...
It's amazing that a FOX anchor took on Tucker Bounds.

I hope Bounds was speechless. He's about as smug and smarmy as they get.

2. When Hillary attacked MSNBC over Schuster's comment about Chelsea, MSNBC
went overboard shilling for her. McLoon's campaign learned that MSNBC/NBC was the easiest network to roll from that episode, so they worked the refs there (wrote and published angry letters to the network)--and it worked. Now MSNBC promotes McLoon/Malibu-Tan Barbie relentlessly and hammers Obama.

4. MSNBC during the daytime (and Race for the White House) is horrible.
Shuster is the only anchor that I can tolerate.

6. It didn't use to be like this...
They used to be more balanced, and they did lean to the left somewhat. However, it
wasn't totally blatant.

Now, it's just awful. Simply awful.

Obviously, they have allowed old-man McCain bully them.

Are these guys running a news organization or do they now consider themselves the PR arm of the McCain campaign?

10. Yeah, he has a new stump speech as well which incorporates many elements of this one
MSNBC ran 15 minutes of it on a delay while CNN ran it live prior to that. So it got wide exposure -- unfortunately, so did McCain's
faux-populist speech, where he tried his best to sound like an incarnation of John Edwards. :eyes:

9. He mentioned the S&L crisis of the 80's also. Oh yeah, that would be THE KEATING 5 Scandal!!
He didn't name it that, but hopefully his surrogates and pundits will.

Time to put Keating 5 on the table, boys & girls!

11. That was a subtle jab, wasn't it? I really want Biden to go there because Obama can't..
Keating 5 -- there's a nice ring to it, isn't there?
