I know we shouldn't dwell on the polls, but I am. I can just FEEL that they are going to start swinging our way within the week. And I can't help but think that once they do, they'll never go back. Obama/Biden are just too good and there aren't any state troopers, lobbyists, bridges to nowhere or Keating scandals waiting to be rehashed for them. They are both GOOD speakers who can talk to a crowd without staring at the floor half the time and neither of them sound like the mother off of Bobby's World. McCain is getting more and more cranky every day, Palin's unfavorables are climbing as I type this....

I have been feeling a little shell shocked since the end of the RNC and since Palin 'burst' upon the scene like a cancerous boil. I was SO...offended? hurt? shocked?...that she wasn't immediately seen for what she is. But now I just feel change in the air. I am starting to really believe that we are going to do this thing!!

1. Yes. But I had the same feeling in '00 and '04
Don't mean to be a downer, but I don't trust that feeling anymore. The capacity for the American public to accept bullshit for facts amazes me every time.

2. Our first task should be break up the mega media corporations.
Without that we are always going to be under propaganda fire.

3. McCain has set himself up as the villian with all his lies and deceptions.
Obama has the momentum and the narrative coming out of September and (hopefully) going into October.

4. Yup..... my father has been saying for months...
..... and I listen to what he says 'cause he's old and knows stuff "something's gonna have to happen for Obama to lose."

Well, it happened ........ and it came in the form of a lying pit bull puppy.

And we have survived it.

Doesn't mean we dont need to continue to work but I think the worst that COULD happen, has.

5. I think by the debates we'll either be ahead in the polls (which are shaky at best for credibility)
or damn near even. Once the first debate happens next week, we'll jump ahead again (or rise) and it will continue going up from there. There's no way MacBerry/imPalin can keep from stepping in it and along with the Wall St. stuff going on, on top of the other economics woes, we'll come out ahead in the polls.

That said, I believe we're already ahead in the polls but it's not being shown because they aren't polling people without landlines, newly registered voters, etc. The polls are skewed for many different reasons.

6. Change is indeed coming, but we must learn to NEVER EVER
turn our backs or let our guard down. The RW fascists are very determined and crafty. They will still be lying in wait.
