For those of you irritated by McCain's tired intro line, I am posting some links so you can see it for what it is: more theft. Just as McCain now wants to lift "change" and make it part of his slogan, he lifted "my friends" from another liberal who would want no part of his campaign -- Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
In the depths of the Depression, FDR began his fireside chats with a booming "my friends", coming into the homes of average Americans so he could lay out the problem, tell you what he was going to do about it, and ask for your help in getting it done.
