If nothing else the Breaking News on CNN should prove to the American people
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 02:12 PM by EV_Ares
about the character of the republican VP candidate.

The breaking news is that of 5 Alaska legislators suing to block the investigation into Palin's firing of the Alaska official in connection with her ex brother-in-law.

The McCain campaign says she will not cooperate with the investigation team.

Is she above the law. If there is nothing to hide, what is the fear of the investigation.

14. Yeah, but instead of a chase through the freeways of L.A.
She'd be barreling down the Alaska Highway. It's 1,522 miles long. The copters following her will have to be refueled in flight...

This really doesn't say innocent, does it?

13. The stonewalling itself is even uglier than the abuse of power
It sounds like there must be something really, really damaging in those e-mails and memos Palin refuses to release and even more damaging in the testimony of witnesses close to the affair. Even if nothing major comes out of the investigation, or if there isn't a clear and specific pattern of abusive conduct, the stonewalling is frankly alarming, absolutely alarming. This is not someone we need in the White House if we're going to turn the page from the last 8 years of lies, stonewalling, and failure to cooperate with the legislature or honor the government's system of checks and balances.

18. The Republicans run a political operation like a business.

They thus consider it their fiduciary duty to do everything
within their power to maximize the advantage for their
"shareholders", the campaign contributors.

30. Be careful with that rationale
I agree with you that it should be investigated, and not stonewalled. But the "If there is nothing to hide" rationale is the same one repubs use to say that we shouldn't have any problem with our rights being eroded.

complete the job of making her irrelevant all by herself. I'd rather BO/Biden don't waste any time on her anyway, as McCrap is looking worse and worse as he continues to actually have to answer policy/issue-related questions.

When will these morons learn that the cover-up is always worse than the crime?

Way to go Palin, your refusal to cooperate makes you look guilty, even if you aren't.

You suck, Johnny Mac sucks, and the whole Republican party sucks for thinking this is appropriate behavior for someone running for VPOTUSA.

42. I saw a ticker on CNN last night that 13 subpoenas have
been issued, and yes, Todd Palin's is one of them. The subpoenas are being IGNORED. Sound familiar? These fuckers should all be arrested on sight. The AG of Alaska is now above the law? What the hell is going on here? I'll tell you what's going on here. There's the United States, and there's the republican party. The republicans represent the New National Fascist party, and should be dealt with the way the Italian partisans dealt with Mussolini back in 1945.

45. How Arrogant of the McCain Campaign
To act as though they are not accountable to the American People....

We do have to vote for these republican candidates....

Funny to see so many republicans running for office who are ashamed to put that little R next to their names in political ads and on their signs.

How can you expect to get votes if you are ashamed of what you are and who you are and what you represent.

Mind Blowing!!!!
