5. Is this a Newsweek poll that was just released, or an older one? |
|
They were citing a poll from a couple of weeks ago earlier for something else.

18. White Women are really letting us down in General. |
|
always thought it would be the white men that would be the hard sell the way my dad and other men in his age group were so very worried about Obama's "experience." I always took that as a sign that it was too hard for them to admit even to themselves that they were uncomfortable about a brotha running the show. I think now they have to admit to themselves, that if they dont vote for the obviously smarter guy with the better plan all around just because he's black, well, I think a lot have decided now is the time to put that inner deamon down for good.
Even with the whole Primary debacle, never thought white women as whole would be so blinded by their own version of sexism that says, we got teased with the idea, now there HAS to be a woman in the Oval Office whether she's qualified or not -that they'd sell us all out like this.
Pardon me to all the upstanding white women DUers, but I'm sure these polls are twice as dissapointing to you than they are for anyone else.

20. Look, my assistant says she is voting for McCain. We had a |
|
back and forth in which I said she was undercutting women's rights, she was not voting for her onw best interest, she was damaging her kids futures. She replied that the election was about her going to heaven or hell. I said that God didn't care which way she voted. That she was better off voting for Obama. She said she didn't see it that way. I haven't given up but I don't know how to counter the freaking fake-christian zealot argument.
