Michelle and Jill

After hearing that McLame Brain is winning the women's vote because of Sarah, I couldn't help but think of these beautiful ladies. "They" say that Palin is helping the ticket because working women identify with Sarah - a working woman, hockey mom, ya know what I mean.

But - Michelle and Jill are both working women as well.
I know more about Jill than Michelle, and Jill raised 3 kids while being a teacher. She has since gone back to get her Doctorate. And look at Michelle, she has been a working mom as well.

Okay - so I'm going to play campaign manager here.
I'm thinking that Michelle and Jill need to hit the trail - to tell the women of America how Obama/Biden will help them.

Oh - and sorry Sarah - this is what MODERN women look like.

3. I have always hated make-up. Women are among the most beautiful
of creatures. Why paint something so beautiful. I see little make-up on the two above. Palin, to use McCain's words, "ladles it on like a trollop."
The minds is what makes these two really lovely. Not filled with hate and venom and lies and innuendo, but with compassion and intelligence.

7. Actually,
when a woman applies makeup correctly it enhances beauty. If it's done right, you shouldn't notice it at all. I have seen men asked to tell which woman is and isn't wearing any, and they get it wrong a good percentage of the time. JMO

37. I agree
I like the "natural" look. Makeup gives an inauthentic look. My best female friends use little to no makeup, and I think they look better for it. I think Michelle and Jill do it right. They either don't wear any makeup, or use it right to make it look like they aren't wearing any.

Palin and Cindy McCain aren't that good looking to begin with. They may have looked all right when they were younger, but they haven't aged well. When they smother their faces with that goop, it's a real turn off.

6. Forgive the intrusion
I'm newly registered and cannot post this.
We live in Central Florida. Today my young daughter received an unsolicited DVD called "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West", in the mail today from NP group "The Clarion Fund".
Is this group known to target young, newly registered voters?
I'm very concerned about this, but can't post a new topic.
Thanks

11. Welcome to DU!
Yeah, we had a big discussion about that yesterday.

Along with this, the repugs are calling Jewish voters, trying to portray Obama as a member of the PLO.

They are being as slimy as ever.

17. And - Biden's daughter in law is Jewish. But it is their VP whose church
preaches that Israel deserves to be attacked by terrorists because they don't believe in Jesus.

It should be us calling Jewish voters and scaring them into voting for Obama....
but thankfully Dems are not that sleazy.

9. that is an excellent idea!
I can see it, these 2 working moms and wives as pure contrast to Sarah Palin. I just hate the bait and switch of the McCain campaign; we should forget that Palin has a pregnant unmarried teen, though Palin preaches abstinence, and just remember to praise the family for keeping the baby. But we can't even challenge that those are 2 separate matters because it will take the focus off the real issues. But, as you suggest, it would be great for Michelle and Jill to hit the trail, not even very hard, to subtly show that, yes, we as women can achieve and gain a lot without ending up looking like Stepford Wives.

10. Interesting how Joe and Jill's daughter, Ashley, didn't get preg as a teen.
Yet, Joe is extremely religious.

Also, Michelle and Jill don't have that attitude that Palin has - you know what I mean, that attitude that Sarah thinks she is above everyone else. Talk about uppity!

They could both host a woman's conference going over Obama's plans for families or education since Jill is a teacher.

32. They are so real and such ladies
I can't imagine any woman that would not appreciate how much they
bring to the table as EQUAL to men and extra special.

When can you recall President/VP spouses that are dedicated to their families, WORKING women that can claim equal footing in terms of education with their husbands?

Jacqui Kennedy was well educated

Hillary Clinton was/is well educated ~ both of these were classy beyond.

Then we have Sista Sarah ~ acting like a cheer leader with issues.

Then there is Laura the Librarian and Babs the ?

Please give us these two family values, smart, well dressed, kind women to represent our country.

33. I think that Sarah Palin is the kind woman that many other women don't like.
She's like the behind-the-back talker in the office that gives a good first impression, but that everybody eventually ends up hating. Something like that...

34. Michelle and Jill have class and Cindy and the "first dude" both creep me out
Cindy is like a robotron who wears very expensive clothing who says Michelle is not proud of America. She also thinks seeing another country from Alaska is foreign policy experience. Todd Palin is said to be a shadow governer and he does not seem to be too into little Trig from what I saw at the RNC. Michelle is a great Mom and has to beautiful and smart little girls and Jill is such a good person for coming in and being a Mom to two little boys who had lost their mother. They exemplify goodness while the Rethug's spouses are just plain weird
