My Letter: Sen. Wonky VERSUS Sen. Vague
Edited on Tue Sep-16-08 06:33 PM by FrenchieCat
My letter today to many News Agencies and Reporters-----

How can John McCain get away with his vague generalized statements and answers on just about every questions asked of him including the economy. He clearly makes broad generalization that don't amount to anything but meaningless platitudes attached to slogan like buzz words. Why is he allowed to get away with that? How can he respond by saying "I have done this before", "I know how to get it done", "this needs to be solved" to economic questions, and not be pressed further?

meanwhile.....

The media is eagerly quick to mention that OBama is either too wonky and too Professorial or not "passionate" enough, when Obama gives detailed statements and answers questions in very specific terms, and yes, with more than enough emotions, etc...?

What is actually going on here?

And why is the press still allowing this to happen?

The real question is why are the standards set up for these two men so completely different, although they are running for the same office? Why is one continuously given a pass while the other his held to an impossible standard of perfection?

In other words, why isn't McCain getting more heat for not saying anything even when he's talking?

Respectfully,
