95. Hardly over the top. All the figures pictured were leaders who moved people to make a change.

They led people from terrible times to a time of change and new beginnings. This election is all about a change needed and a leader to bring this country out from the hole we've been flung into by those currently in office. This isn't equating the Obama of 2008 as we know him now with these leaders, it is making the point that this county is at a watershed moment, and, as we have in the past, we have the opportunity to put a leader in charge who will be inspired by such greatness as indicated in the video. This is showing and honoring those who have inspired Obama to become the man he is today.

It is looking forward to the promise of the Obama of the future, President Obama. We have that chance again, the chance to join in the movement of change led by an inspiration leader, if we vote like our lives depend on it which, in fact, they do if one considers the danger that McCain and Palin will bring to not only America but, as leaders of the free world, the planet.

Over the top is McCain saying the Obama is a pervert who wants to teach sex to Kindergartners. Over the top are the smears that are still popping up in email inboxes all across this country calling Obama an Islamic Terrorist and calling Michelle an "angry Black woman." That is the very definition of over the top. Showing the inspirations for the Movement for Change in 2008 is not over the top.

I understand the motivation behind the video, which is what you highlight. I just think the video comes across as pretentious. I am a person who believes you judge a person by their actions, not words. I also think it is not humble to compare yourself to great leaders in history--leave that to the historians.

If the video could be rephrased somewhat to emphasize more of a 'what if', it might be more effective to me. I see the current video, when presented to a wider audience, eliciting a 'Who does he think he is to compare himself to FDR or MLK? He hasnt done anything great yet!' Do you see what I'm getting at?

perspective, the video wasn't commissioned by Obama or his campaign, it was created by a supporter working from his own motivation of getting Obama elected. So, I saw it not as Obama, the man himself, thinking he is so tremendous, but a supporter seeing the possibility of greatness in a man in which much promise has been found by many.
