He keeps saying those phrases. He talks about the 'me first' politicians in Washington...blah blah blah. But aren't those politicians Republicans? I know somebody was making a joke about this the other day, but it has been floating around in my head every time he says it. The crowds go wild when he says that stuff, but don't they get that the good ole boys he is talking about going after are THEIR PARTY?

And what about the 'good ole boys' he says he is going to come after? Wouldn't they hesitate to help him get elected? Or do they assume, as I do, that this is empty rhetoric to fire up idiots?

10. McCain Wears $500 Calf Skin Shoes, Has a Net Worth of $100 Million
spends over $270,000 per year on maids and butlers, and can't even remember how many houses he owns. Who the hell is he calling a fatcat?

12. well, you know, he spent 5 1/2 years without a butler or a maid
I think you should know that before questioning his morality.

Ok, I could barely type that with a straight face. :)

7. The NYTimes had an editorial about the RNC titled "Running against themselves"
It about summed it up-he is running (or so he claims) against people EXACTLY like him and his best bud Bush :eyes:. I really don't understand how anyone can buy this nonsense-but then the hard core Republican voters were never particularly bright...

9. It's like Garrison Keillor said

So the Republicans have decided to run against themselves. The bums have tiptoed out the back door and circled around to the front and started yelling, "Throw the bums out!" They've been running Washington like a well-oiled machine to the point of inviting lobbyists into the back rooms to write the legislation, and now they are anti-establishment reformers dedicated to delivering us from themselves.
