Lecture Hall Packed to the Gills with Fired up Students for Obama at The University of Wisconsin.
Madison was fired up and ready to go tonight. Tonight was the kickoff meeting for the Students For Obama/College Democrats. As we were walking into the some 550 seat lecture hall, they were signing in people and had a box for volunteers, and almost everybody signed up to volunteer. Then they had a registration station and hundreds of people were registering to vote. When I walked into the hall, I was shocked to see that the place was packed. THe meeting was fantastic and full of spirit. The Students for Obama/College dems have a great job of organizing things, getting people signed up on trips to UW-Platteville, getting a registration team together, volunteers, GOTV, data team, etc. This weekend the county clerk is coming to deputize people so that they can register people as well. Students on this campus who 80% voted for Obama during the primary are ready to keep Wisconsin blue.

Just thought Id share the news to all of you.

4. Good, I'm glad to hear it
I was starting to get worried...There are just so many more Fundamentalists around here than I can ever remember...I swear they bus them here to live....I do know some that were moved to North Carolinia and paid to live there,"because they were such good people". So maybe they are shipping them here too...

9. there aren't too many campuses more liberal than Madison
I've got some fond memories from a few decades ago. Hopefully, the students will travel to other parts of the state and open some minds.

10. Go UW College Dems!!!
I'm the very proud mother of one of them. :)

They work hard, they're well organized, and they are impressive. My son brought four of them with him to Ohio to help canvass for Obama during the primaries. They drove 9 hours each way to walk their feet off for the campaign.

On Wisconsin!!!!
