I think McCain is the type to choke in crunch time |

Several things give me the sense McCain is the type to lose his cool and ability to think if he feels things start to slip away from him, even just a little. I could tell he was upset today with the press and you have to know that is more related to him knowing the collapsing economy is going to hurt him in the polls and perhaps completely sink his campaign as some have suggested. I think he thought he might be able to pull this off and now he knows it's going to be much, much harder. In sports a lot of players fold when they have a lead and the other team makes a run at them. They choke and lose their heads and make mistakes. I have a feeling McCain is a choker and is about to start making one gaff after another. Three or four of these and he might start to look nervous and make even bigger blunders. Then it might get to the point where he actually goes off like a roman candle on national TV. If things get worse for him such as a poor debate performance he could completely lose it.
I personally don't think McCain has much inner strength. The way he has caved on everything he claimed to be standing up for shows this. When the going gets tough I believe McCain will fold like lawn chair.

1. Plus he's old and tired and grumpy. He wanted to have his shot years ago and was denied it... |
|
He's obviously the type to hold a grudge, and he's still angry and thinks about what could have been if he were a younger man with the loyalty and cooperation of his party.

4. He does not like to be challenged. He gets petty, mean and saracstic. |
|
And I think he's most likely to step in it in the first debate. Too much confidence, not enough thinking.
