It seems like Republicans are nervous about Trooper-gate

Could this really blow up in their face? Or will teflon Barbie go untouched by this no matter how bad it is?

1. I was stuck listening to Mark Levin on my drive home and I was
amazed how they managed to distort the whole thing into a political witchhunt based on a perfectly legitimate firing over insubordination.

And they even accused Obama or orchestrating the current investigation.

What a bunch of loony tunes.

Its disgusting how they fool their own listeners. Talk about a lack of respect.

3. I think they're making a big mistake
A majority of people will tell you that, when there is smoke, there is fire.

That is what a majority of people always believe, even when there is no fire.

And it is so easy to investigate on your own and find out that she did in fact authorize the investigation, and so did a bipartisan panel of 16 by voting yes... 16 to null.

8. Thats if they care to investigate or if the MSM tells them what is up.
Otherwise, right wing listeners are beyond stupid. I mean they still think Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11. What morans.

9. I am not talking about the 40% conservatives
I am talking about the 10% who are supposedly unable to make up their mind.

2. Well if the amount of lawyers and money they are spending
is any indication of what they are trying to hide...then yes this could be incredibly destructive. Now they have people that won't respond to the suphoena's...if the state of Alaska is as bold as they claim then they are going to bring the hammer down. Palin and her husband have made a mockery of Alaskans...I am not getting the feeling Alaskans will stand by quietly ...

7. I think that this is where the issue can be exploited right now... run on transparency...
but then cower in the shadows hiding from the investigators. What are you hiding, Sarah?

Geez, you'd think the right wingers would be outraged over this behavior!!! After all, didn't they all rush to the defense of warrantless wiretapping on the basis that "if you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to worry about?" So why is Sarah hiding?

4. Too many resources are being put into derailing this
for it not to be a large, ticking bomb. There is clearly more here than meets the eye, though what it is has yet to be discovered.

6. Well, she certainly isn't acting innocent.
I hope it blows up in her her smug, sarcastic face.

11. Troopergate or not
they are just going to start sinking like a rock. But it seems incredibly stupid to stonewall this investigation. What is the average voter in Ohio supposed to think? She's stonewalling because she's innocent?

I also wonder if international sources of funding are cutting off the US unless and until we elect a democrat.

One could only hope . . . .

At the very least, it seems that liquidity is drying up. But that's another thread.

12. Rachel has Michael Issikof on almost every night about this
and he is on it, in RM's words, "like white on rice." He keeps digging and digging and turning over more and more. Reminds me of the early days of Watergate, There is an incredibly foul odor coming off this whole thing. Grampy would not fly in hugely expensive New York lawyers unless there were something radioactive lurking here.

13. no one knows Sarah Palin
they are only now starting to really form their opinions.

Most people know that politicians tend to be corrupt.

They are going to see this and think: one more corrupt politician.

That's because Palin doesn't have a well known previous reputation to contradict that kneejerk reaction.

If the press actually covers this at all, it will destroy her and make McCain look like a fool.

Who the hell taps someone to run with them that is currently being investigated?

Blows my mind, either he is an idiot or cynical beyond belief about the gullibility of the voters.

17. Palin fucked up when she canned Monegan
He was a good cop with connections. He's been around alot longer than her.

and he has evidence to back his story.

If the Repukes don't squash this, it's going to severely damage her.
