Letter-writer Gary Young is correct: Barack Obama is no John McCain ("Obama, Palin & McCain," Sept. 10 and PghTrib.com).

Obama does not share McCain's experience or values. Obama lacks experience when it comes to supporting record deficits, high unemployment, trickle-down economics and a reckless foreign policy.

John McCain used to be a reformer, but has stated on numerous occasions that he has supported President Bush's position on issues over 90 percent of the time.

Obama wants to increase troop volume in Afghanistan and he wants to cut taxes for 95 percent of working Americans.

Thankfully, Barack Obama is no John McCain.
