McCain tries to recover from comment on 'strong' economy
The Republican says he does understand voters' concerns about the financial crisis. Barack Obama mocks his rival's grasp of the issue and his resolve to improve regulations.

VIENNA, OHIO -- Under fire for his assertion that the American economy is fundamentally sound, John McCain moved Tuesday to assure voters of his empathy and accused Barack Obama of attempting to take political advantage of the roiling Wall Street crisis.

Obama on Tuesday castigated McCain as having been "scornful" of the very Wall Street regulations he was now espousing, and he launched television ads mocking McCain's Monday statement.

The Arizona senator spent seven national TV interviews and two campaign events seeking to make it clear that he understood the depth of concern about the rocky economy.

What was it I read yesterday, something about if you have to explain yourself, you are losing or something like that.

2. They repeat their lies out of habit
(or else they have begun to actually believe them)

Hilarious, sad and frightful all at the same time.

3. McCain should just tattoo a big "L" on his forehead...
Because he's one big LOSER. I can't wait for the polls to come out after the remark that he invented the blackberry either!
