Some how claiming depression rather than giving in to vanity seems really strange. There is still a stigma to depression. (I have close family members who have suffered from it - and no, they did not use tanning booths!

I'm sure there's a lack of good taxidermists in D.C.
Edit to add: I meant no slight to the noble profession of Taxidermy. Hey, y'all are better men/women than I. I faint at the sight of dead butterflies. But Sarah Moosekiller really isn't adept at much else that deals with people. Dead animals are the only things she is safe around.

For SAD you have a lightbox that you look at but AFAIK on a tanning bed you have to wear protective goggles.

A tanning bed limits to those parts of the spectrum that age the skin (which is what tanning is a response to, trying to block it). To treat SAD you need full-spectrum light.
