If you were thinking Obama's 2-minute ad was off base, check out this "rebuttal" from McWalkingCane. |

That can't possibly be his (impotent) rebuttal to Sen. Obama's detailed plan to get the U.S. back on track. Oh, sorry, I forgot! They think we're stupid!!

6. They loved McCain's tough talk in on Morning Joe |
|
Obama according to them "did not connect". I myself thought it was a little too long. Hopefully I'm wrong.
McCain was short on specifics but long on tough talk. Obama appealed to the mind, McCain to the emotions.
I wish I could believe that this time voters will vote with their heads and not their emotions but I've been stung too many times to believe that those few people who are not firmly committed to one side or the other will be swayed with logic.
Hopefully I'm wrong.

He's playing the American people for fools with his smarmy little "tough guy" act.
I just hope the people are smart enough to see through this bullshit and realize he and his ilk ARE THE PROBLEM.

You sound like Ross Perot. "I'm gonna fixit." Great! We'll call this the 0-Point Plan in contrast to Obama's 6-Point Plan.

Really now? How about you address the flagrant lies in this advertisement? McCain is the problem. He supports rampant deregulation and the man has never met a lobbyist he didn't love - many of whom work on his campaign now. Think these same lobbyists are ok with "ole Maverick" gutting their cash cow?
As always, Republican's love to point the finger elsewhere and scream at the top of their lungs when they can't look inside their own house and realize the putrid stench is coming from inside.

Obama seems like he has some idea what's going on and what to do, and McCain seems like a blowhard. McCain plans to cure humanity of greed? I think even some low info voters could look at these two ads and tell that only one of them has a plan. Then again, voters who are like characters in Idiocracy would prefer the McCain ad and would be contemptuous of the Obama ad.

I have never seen such BS in my life....he knows the only way he can win is to lie and cheat his way to the White House...and by taking on the "Obama" language for his own...I truly hate the man...he is a disgrace...

15. I can't believe how they lit his face! |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 08:09 AM by eshfemme
There was some hoopla earlier about some immature photographer who tricked McCain into being photographed with a strobe light from the bottom, which illuminated all of his shadows and made him look extra crazy and then made the mistake of bragging about her stunt. But in his own ad, he's improperly lit! I guess they couldn't dim the lights enough without going to night vision to hide all his wrinkles and just how scary he is. They probably also gave him the black background to avoid the light bouncing back and showing off more of his jowls.
Also, how interesting to see what the 2 campaigns take on the same theme is. For Obama, change is hopeful. For McCain, change is apocalyptic and to be feared. It's pretty much a no-brainer here.

17. Wow - looking at those comments, the GOP lemmings are more pathetic than I thought |
|
Some people are posting facts and figures regarding Obama - yet they denigrate into name-calling and sticking their fingers in their ears. Oh, and don't forget the "he's a Muslim terrorist" claims - those are always a staple.

all those flashing lights.
But really, that short flashy commercial with "tough talk" will probably be more effective than Obama's long, substantive ad. People have short attention spans and don't want to think.
