The Pro- Rape Candidates
There's a pattern in the records of McCain and Palin, especially the latter, that is truly disturbing: they have made rape and child sexual abuse and very low priority.

Alaska has the highest rate of rape of any state, and Wasilla had an extremely high percentage of convicted sex offenders when Palin was mayor (over 3% of the population). Yet she opposed sex education that might have prepared children to resist or report abuse and charged rape victims to be tested, so that rapists could be charged. The state legislature had to pass a law outlawing this practice because of Wasilla's policy - it was the only town in the state that did this. Now she has aknowledged that she opposed seeking federal funds for programs to prevent child sexual abuse, because it was not a priority.

Meanwhile John McCain has made jokes about rape and voted against a bill that was inroduce by Joe Biden to provide federal funding for rape tests.

I think these facts ought to be bundled together in an ad, because they really demonstrate a callous attitude towards vicitms of sexual assault.

2. I just read about an ardent Hillary supporter who is coming out for McCain tomorrow
and I just cannot believe ANY Hillary supporter would condone the McLame/Palin mindset regarding women's issues.

It reminds me of what George Bush did when he moved into the White House in January 2001..........the very first thing he did was to close down the Women's Liaison Office that Clinton had installed so that he could keep apprised of women's issues. What a difference!
