I still don't trust any of these friggin polls.
It's like...whoever the corporate media decides is winning the week, the polls will always follow. I don't trust these fucks.

8. Do people think these polls are just as fake as the ones that had him trailing? |
|
I'm not convinced one way or the other about whether the polls are invalid. I do find it puzzling, though, that people complain all day about polls being illegitimate when they look bad and then celebrate without questioning their validity when they look better.

Personally I don't trust any of the polls these days. Polls were all over the place in the primaries and have remained so in the general.

rather hypocritical, isn't it? You either trust the polls or you don't...it should not be dependent on who they have in the lead.

I honestly don't know why so many people are willing to call fix on any poll that doesn't have us in the lead. Don't they live on the same planet as I do? There are PLENTY of right wing morons out there, and plenty of undecideds whose opinion changes solely on the latest attack ad they've seen.
While I wouldn't venture so far as to say these polls are scientifically accurate, they are at least a good measuring stick for the nation's psyche.

20. If you want Obama to win, why is an invalid poll worth celebrating? |
|
That's the question I was raising. I haven't taken a position on the issue because I don't know enough about the polling. I'm just trying to understand others' reactions because they seem to be saying "polls are invalid unless I like the results"

26. Any poll that excites us and gets us moving out of depair is not "invalid" |
|
Forgive me, but I am right now highly suspicious of low-post count, non-member posts moping that people aren't paying more attention to "realistic" (negative, in other words) polls.

I don't know what you're talking about. And I don't care if you're suspicous. I'm proud of my history of volunteer work for the Democratic party and I don't need your approval. It seems everyone else understood and had no concerns about the post I made.

I'm "non-reactive" to all polling because I don't know if it's valid or not. I do become curious about my fellow Democrats' reactions and thus ask them about their reactions. Oh and I've never ignored someone in a forum. I don't understand the point of it. I've never on a forum encountered text that was so disturbing that I thought I couldn't handle it.

21. Individuals polls are meaningless. WHat does matter is trend lines. |
|
It judges how well the M$M propaganda machine is moving public opinion.
I don't trust any of the polls, including this one. Obama is much farther ahead. But, the trend is s sign that the suppression of information is not working, and the American People are seeing through the bullshit.

More polls will follow suit and I predict in the next few weeks Obama will have a 3-5 point lead over McCain in most of them.

17. Great to see that the Palin pick has solidified the Democratic base. Obama now has 89%. |
|
But Zogby said Palin also helped solidify Democratic support for Obama. "For the last few weeks it's been all about Palin and she has been a divisive force," he said. "She has shored up the base for both candidates."
Obama, who struggled to solidify Democrats in August when just 74 percent backed him, now has the support of 89 percent of Democrats. McCain's support among Republicans grew from 81 percent last month to 89 percent.

|
since they are really only a Gauge as to HOW FUCKED the media thinks it IS this week, despite their pulling out all the stops to prop up McCreepy and FAILIN'
If you just add 10 to 14 points to Obama's Numbers, you'll have a much better reflection of Reality.
