I know that some of us aren't good at cold calls and don't feel comfortable going door to door for Obama. Here is a way that you can help.

*Locate the contact number for your local Obama headquarters. Check the number to make sure that it is good.
*Make a list of 10 people that you know support Obama
*Call each of these people and encourage them to get down to the Obama headquarters and volunteer.
*Make sure that your friends call five of their friends and keep this process going.


This will cost you nothing but a little time. Many say that they aren't good at canvasing and if that is the way you feel then call people that you know and tap into that resource. Feet on the ground and ears to the phone will be the only way that we can make sure that Obama gets to the White House. Make this contribution to Obama today. You won't be sorry. Peace, Kim

1. Plus, in my area at least, canvassing lists are comprised of likely Dem voters.

So if you go door-to-door for Obama, you're mostly going to talk to people friendly to our cause.

Also, you canvas in a group or with a friend so that makes the task less daunting. We are housing an Obama volunteer and he says the best way to help right now is to go down to the office and make calls or canvas. They are needing feet on the ground. I think that if folks volunteered with their friends the job would be much more bearable. I have done a lot of things for Obama but I have not done cold calls. After my conversation with my guest I am going to rally my troops and then get down to headquarters and get to work.

I guess that there is a quota for each office and there is some pressure to produce. Since the average age at our Obama office is 21 I am going to get my 51 year old butt down there and do the job they need me to do , not the one that I would like to do. Peace, Kim

3. I have decided to hand hold two independents

I know two, who have not made up their minds, and the truth is, those independents will make the final decision. We had one come to caucus, sit through everything and still walk out undecided. So when they are undecided, they are not kidding.

If they want infor on policies, I used to say go to Obama's site, but now I go and look it up for them, copy it and give them the hard copy to look at, a little at a time. Not every policy because it is overwhelms I think.. Just one or two things at a time. Amazing how supportive of our positions they are starting to be. I hear a lot of I did not know that..etc.

Hey two in our line or third party makes not difference to me, it is two less possibles for McCain
