Hey, Todd - who's watching the kids? |
|
I mean, after all, the McCain campaign has been touting you as not only "First Dude," but as the ultimate stay-at-home dad, a real modern, supportive guy. But you never seem to be at home. Every time I see you, you're grinning and waving behind Sarah, as if you can't let her out of your sight for a minute.
Who's watching your kids while you're high-fiving around the country?
Just wondering.

2. It isn't PC to go there. But I'm with you. |

These are people who are putting career ambition ahead of the important needs of a Down Syndrome baby, a pregnant teen, and two other children who are still school age. Jackie Kennedy once said that if you bungle raising your kids, nothing else much matters. Guess Sarah and Todd didn't get the memo.

4. I can just imagine how "pc" this would be if it were the Obamas who |
|
had a special needs child, a 6-year-old, and a pregnant teen, all of whom they alternately paraded around like props and left at home while both parents traipsed up and down the countryside.

19. You are 100% right. The repukes would have nailed them |
|
as completely irresponsible people, and the media would be harping on it 24/7.
Another instance of total and complete hypocrisy.
And, for the record, I think the Palins are lousy parents.

7. What happened to the wedding? Wasn't that supposed to be after the convention? |
|
I'd'a thunk that they'd want to have had the wedding before Track shipped out. Wassup with that?

8. Ms. Palin mentioned herself |
|
In that video where she's speaking before her old church, eldest son Track had a nanny named Christy. She even gives the young woman a shout-out.

13. And who is watching Obama's kids if Michelle is out on the stump? |
|
I'm sorry, but this line of attack makes no sense. She is a horrendous candidate simply based on her qualifications (or lack thereof).

And spends more time at home with their daughters than these people are with their kids.

18. Michelle's mother watches the kids and Michelle makes a point of never being away |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 12:22 PM by EffieBlack
more than a couple of days at a time.
But that's not the point, since the Obamas have not made their status as parents the second most important qualification (behind their current professional occupation) for higher office. This is not a question about who is the better or more attentive parent, but a question about hypocrisy.

Michelle has said her mom is with them when she is out on the trail.
