Suppose a reporter asks Obama if the dems share the blame? |
|
for the financial mess.
Should he give a very partisan, direct answer, saying that the republicans own responsibility for the crisis?
Or should he, in the interest of bipartisanship, give a more nuanced answer, discussing the areas where the dems could have done better?

Why the HELL are Democrats so eager to take the blame for things they did not initiate or push?

6. Look at the Clinton record and the complicity of Congress Dems |

The democrats bear far less responsibility for the current mess.
But when the Democratic Party jettisoned its liberalism for "centrism" it did go along with the Corporate Right Wing ideology rather than be a balance against it.

Nobody's hands are clean in Washington, but Republican policies have thrown gasoline on this fire.

I would prefer a response that the blame the Democrats deserve is for not standing up to the Republicans strongly enough. That if the Democratic Party had stood up for its ideals, fighting for the poor and middle class, that maybe this could have been avoided.
