Mayor Bill White and Judge Emmet to take control of distribution problem in Houston. |

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6003905.htmlFEMA is dysfunctional...worthless. Help should have been in place and ready to roll as soon as the winds died down. Doesn't anyone in that department have common sense?

1. Oh yes. Bill White has been great, IMO. |

He's seemed like he's super pissed at how things were being handled by FEMA and at the whole "no fly zone" incident of course. Best he takes it into his own hands, though it's sad it had to come to that. I trust him more to handle things, that's for sure.

they were a great agency at one time. I'm convinced Bush/Republicans deliberately mismanage this agency and hope to convince the public that these storms can't be handled by FEMA and will propose that private companies get the contracts in the future.
Our next hurricane well be supported by Blackwater, our military and Halliburton.
