...their downhill slide has now begun.

Palin was the only thing that gave McCain a bounce. McCain didn't get
a bounce. Palin fueled all of that.

Now, she's not just an abstract construct--an attractive speech given
one time from a teleprompter. She's a real, live veep candidate who is:

--Not giving media interviews
--Embroiled in an ethics investigation, with which she's refusing to cooperate.
--Demonstrating that she's not that intelligent
--Showcasing her zero experience in foreign-policy and national-security issues
--Lying about the Ebay jet, the bridge to nowhere and other issues.

The bloom is off the rose, so to speak--and as she becomes more real---and her
negatives are revealed--her numbers will continue to tank--which means that
McCain sinks also.

McCain hitched his wagon to Palin's star, and now that star is fading.
